Steve and Clint from Phoenix Home Services were fantastic to work with - from start to finish. We pulled estimates from four different contractors and their's was the most competitive by far (beware if you live in Arlington, VA - some contractors will overcharge just because the feel like you live in Arlington and they can get away with it). I appreciated their approach of waiting until all materials had been ordered/delivered and on site before starting; it minimized any delays and speeded the progress of the work. They started the week of Thanksgiving and finished right before Christmas. I was amazed at the pace at which they worked and the quality results. I'm highly attentive to details and was probably a pain in the butt at times, but they always accommodated me. They were on site every day and on time. Dan, the site foreman, and his crew were professional and highly competent and easy to get along with. Additionally, they improvised solutions when confronted with the challenge of dealing with a 90 year old home that helped make the spaces highly functional. They treated the rest of the house with care as they ripped out floor and walls in two different rooms. the project entailed renovating the original small kitchen in a 1930's colonial into an entertainment space (demo and new hardwood floors and wall repair) and renovating the old sun room into a new kitchen and living space (complete demo and reno down to the studs). They installed an all new window configuration, new siding on the outside, insulation, new floors, walls and ceilings including electrical install and plumbing where the was none previously. We could not be more satisfied with the results. A few months after the build, we discovered a minor problem (not related to their craftsmanship) and they returned and fixed the problem as part of their warranty. For any future work (we have a couple projects in mind) we would only hire Phoenix. Highest recommendation!
